Jal Mahal is a beautiful monument located in the middle of Man Sagar Lake and bordered by Nahargarh Hills of Jaipur. It was built in the 1750s by Maharaja Madho Singh as a hunting lodge. The designs are one of a kind, beautiful, and a perfect mix of Mughal and Rajput architecture.
Though the lake reveals one visible storey above the surface only, there are four other levels concealed within. Although the palace remains off-limits to tourists, its allure is certain when viewed from a distance, particularly evening boat rides where its illuminated form is perfectly mirrored in still waters.
By far the most popular tourist destination in Jaipur when it comes to photography, the Jal Mahal captures the attention of many travelers across the globe.
